What a nice surprise via mail!
World Record Holder loves NOVA DOUBLESKIN
There are lots of e-mails every day, but some stick out: Like the one we received from Bojan Gaberšek, who is not only a member of the Slovenian Paragliding National Team, but also set a world record (302 km out and return) in April 2018. This stunning flight simultaneously broke both world- and european record and was archieved by four pilots together. But there is more he can be proud of:
- Ratitovec Open 2017, 2nd place
- Soča Valley 2017 3rd place
- Slovenian paragliding league 2017 3rd place
- top 20 PWC Serbia 2017 etc.
Bojan is also a big fan of hike & fly and sent us the following feedback regarding our super-lightweight DOUBLESKIN (EN/LTF A): “I have to say that I'm very surprised by this wing – positively, of course! I really have to compliment you for making such a great glider. Even though the DOUBLESKIN is a very light glider, it feels compact and solid in the air. The brakes are nicely defined and not so soft. What impresses me most is that the pressure in the canopy remains the same all the time. It doesn’t matter whether you fly through turbulence or not, the canopy is never empty. That gives me a really great feeling of security and I think it is especially a big plus for less experienced pilots or even beginners. Besides, it is great fun for groundhandling in strong wind conditions.”
He published a bunch of videos about his experiences with the DOUBLESKIN. For example a skillful groundhandling session, a no-hands-on-risers-launch and various clips of his hike & fly adventures while training for his big dream: participating in the X-Alps. We’d like to thank Bojan for sharing, wish him all the best for his future and point out to everyone reading this, that there is no sponsoring or other business between him and NOVA, which might have influenced his feedback.
