X-Alps preparations in full swing
XENON – our new 2-liner (LTF/EN D)

Why XENON? It was Toni Bender who brought up this idea: “To fly this glider I happily drive to Bassano for just one day and then back home in the evening. It’s so much fun to fly! In terms of potential, the new 2-liner reminds me a little of the legendary 1995 XENON.” That NOVA glider model was by far the most successful competition wing at its time.

The competition at the Red Bull X-Alps 2021 will be really tough. So, we want our EN-D 2-liner XENON to be really good. Athlete Théo de Blic and test pilots Toni Bender and Fabian Gasteiger did more than 400 test flights on several prototypes. Result: they are very optimistic! Watch the video from the testing in Tenerife here.

The photo shows the latest prototype, but neither the final wing nor the final design. Matching the XENON, our R&D team is also developing the ultralight pod harness ARTUS especially for the Red Bull X-Alps.
