We are pleased to announce that we will be following the Red Bull X-Alps starting on Sunday 20 June with our own blog. There will also be a report from the Prologue that took place today. We not only want to inform about the three NOVA pilots, but also comment on the race from the perspective of a cross-country pilot. According to the motto "from…

This year a dream will come true for Ken Oguma. He is one of the rookies hoping to show off their skills at the Red Bull X-Alps. Just like Théo de Blic (FRA) and Nicola Donini (ITA), he will be flying the NOVA X-Alps two-liner XENON and the ultralight ARTUS pod harness.
We recently introduced the ARTUS X-Alps harness. Weighing 1050 grams, aerodynamically optimised and with many clever details, this harness is the perfect partner for Red Bull X-Alps. The final design colours will be red and black.
Excellent pilots who have extraordinary stories to tell - the NOVA Pilots Team includes some of the best paragliders in the world. By and by we would like to introduce them to you. Last year NOVA awarded Antti Haltiamieli one of the Pilots of the Year 2020. In this article we take a look at him and Finland, which is probably highly underrated in…
Anyone who knows Wolfi Lechner personally, values him very much. Wolfi is best characterised as decent, fair, respectful of others and completely trustworthy. His heart is huge and his word is his bond. Since February 2021, Wolfi has been able to enjoy his newfound free time in retirement. We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU…
Nicola Donini is one of the rookies in the Red Bull X-Alps 2021. But in spite of his young age, the 24-year-old is everything else than inexperienced - he is a highly accomplished acro pilot (five times Italian champion) as well as a superb comp pilot (Italian champion 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017). In 2018, he came in 2nd in the PWC Superfinal –…
Really good ideas are often very simple - NOVA introduces a real innovation with the launch of its new PRION 5 training wing, the Brake Travel Indicator (BTI). This is a coloured coating of the brake lines with a colour gradient from green to yellow to red. Paragliding newcomers thus get a visual aid as to how far they are pulling the brake lines…
Recently we surprised by announcing the development of a new lightweight EN-D 2-liner, developed for the Red Bull X-Alps 2021, which will be flown by Théo de Blic and other athletes. Pilots who regularly fly at Stubaital (AUT) or Bassano (ITA) might have observed this project’s progress. The latest prototype brought NOVA another step forward and…
Harnesses for the Red Bull X-Alps should be one thing above all: VERY LIGHT. Our new harness ARTUS should be quite good in this respect. The weight of the current prototype is 1044 grams – including protector, footplate, rescue container and soft-links! For reasons of robustness, it could turn out to be slightly heavier for the actual…
